Buttermilk Pull Apart Bread with Chicken Pops

Homemade buttermilk pull apart bread that is soft, fluffy, with a hint of sweetness and super easy to make. This will be the crowd’s favourite for any occasions!

INGREDIENTS

Saf-instant® Gold instant dry yeast11g
Salt5g
Unsalted butter20g

STARTER

  1. Place all the ingredients into a bowl and mix well.
  2. Place mixture aside for 3 hours at room temperature.

PREPARE THE DOUGH

  1. Place all the dough ingredients into the stand mixer except for the salt and butter.
  2. Mix till fairly smooth.
  3. Add salt, butter and continue to knead till its smooth.
  4. Cover and let the dough rest for 35 – 45 minutes or till double in size.

SHAPING

  1. Divide the dough equally into 6 equal pieces at approximately 80g each and round each dough.
  2. Place the rounded doughs into a circular shape on a tray.
  3. Cover and let the dough rest for 30 minutes or till double in size.
  4. Brush a layer of egg wash and dust a layer of flour.

BAKING

  1. Pre-heat the oven at 180˚C and bake for 25 – 30 minutes.
  2. Remove from oven and allow the buns to cool.
  3. Bake chicken pops at 200˚C for 30 minutes or till golden colour.
  4. Place the chicken pops in the middle of the buns and drizzle with honey.
